The Black Cat

The four leaf clover is an ancient superstition
that is considered very lucky.
The theory behind the four leaf clover is that Eve,
as she was leaving the Garden of Eden,
grabbed a handful of four leaf clovers
and gave them to her children sparingly as good luck charms.

Why is this superstition associated with Ireland?

The saint of Ireland, St. Patrick,
who drove the "snakes" or "the devil" from their homeland,
adopted the four leaf clover as a symbol of the
"Luck of the Irish".
He chose the clover because it grows plentiful
in the green hills of Ireland.
It is more likely that you will find a
four leaf clover in Ireland than anywhere else in the world!
